Torchbearer

Torchbearer. Light is your calling, fire your weapon.

Torchbearer. You walk in front, showing the way. In the darkness, you shine like a star. Your fire burns away fog, leaving clarity in its wake.

Torchbearer. Your feet are first on the path. Yours is the courage to face the unknown. You are the first to face the enemy. You are not the one who sends out, the one who plans the battle – you are the one whose feet first touch the disputed ground.

Torchbearer. You are a guide, and you are sought for infusions of courage, for wayfinding, for truth. The fire you carry burns away false, clinging lies like cobwebs in your path.

Torchbearer. You stand near the fire, and cast shadows as you dance. You are ever in view. Your every step is seen and noticed, in triumph and in tears. Yours is not the luxury of anonymity.

When your arms ache, and your muscles tire, a torchbearer are you still. This is your nature. You are the phoenix, who rises from the ashes only to burn again – for you must burn.
